Mr. Stuart Eaton obtained his medical degree through Melbourne University and then went on to complete his surgical training with the Royal Melbourne Hospital by 1998. Stuart then spent a fellowship year in Surgical Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute in East Melbourne before travelling to the United Kingdom to train further in upper gastrointestinal disease with a focus on laparoscopic approaches to surgical therapies.
Stuart returned to Australia in 2001 and commenced practice in Ballarat with Central Highlands Surgeons at that time. He also gained an appointment with Ballarat Health Services on the Upper GI Unit. Currently he also is credentialed for work at St John of God Hospital Ballarat and the Ballarat Day Procedure Centre on Howitt Street.
As well as his passion for Bariatric surgery Stuart maintains a strong interest in Surgical Oncology with an ongoing surgical appointment with Breastscreen and clinical interest in the surgical management of breast cancer and melanoma.
Outside of his surgical pursuits Stuart enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys as well as time cycling, bushwalking and fishing.
Tom is a Specialist General Surgeon with further expertise in colorectal surgery.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1993. After undertaking training in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Victorian Training Program, Tom was awarded a fellowship in 2004.
He spent a year in Ballarat, working on the Colorectal Unit at Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital as a fellow.
He was then appointed as a Locum Consultant Surgeon on the Colorectal Unit in Portsmouth in the United Kingdom. Here he gained further expertise in colorectal surgery, laparoscopic surgery and emergency surgery.
In 2006 he returned to Ballarat, gaining an appointment as a Consultant Surgeon on the Colorectal Unit at Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital.
Tom also provides surgical and endoscopy service to St John of God Hospital Ballarat and the Ballarat Day Procedure Centre.
He visits Ararat and Daylesford where he consults and operates, providing a service to both public and private patients.
Suj is an Australian trained Specialist General Surgeon with an emphasis on technical proficiency and holistic care. Suj is fully accredited with the Conjoint Committee to perform both gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He holds a teaching position with Deakin University, is a Senior lecturer with the University of Tasmania and is an instructor with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (ASSET).
Suj is currently appointed to the Ballarat Base Hospital as a Consultant General Surgeon in the Acute Surgical and General Surgery Units as well as St John of God Hospital Ballarat and Ballarat Day Procedure Unit. Suj also visits Colac regularly where he both consults and operates, providing service to both public and private patients.
Suj was born in Botswana, grew up in South Africa and relocated to Australia in 2000 where his medical studies began. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2008, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College Surgeons in 2018 through the Victorian South West Regional Hub, which included time in Geelong, Ballarat, Colac, Warrnambool, Darwin and the Alfred Hospital.
Suj is one of the first surgeons in Australia to be completely trained in a regional and rural setting from medical school through to the end of his fellowship. These experiences along with his upbringing, inspired his passion for providing exceptional health care in regional Victoria.
After his Fellowship training, Suj completed a fellowship year in colorectal, breast and endocrine surgery at the Launceston General Hospital in Tasmania. He then returned to Ballarat Base Hospital to complete another fellowship year focusing on Emergency General Surgery.
He has broad surgical experience with interests in trauma and emergency general surgery, colorectal, breast, hernia, gall bladder surgery, skin cancer and melanoma surgery, hand surgery and endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy)
Outside of surgery, Suj enjoys spending time with his wife Lyndsie and daughter and his two Labradors (Winston and Gordon). He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys playing cricket, tennis and golf.

In Australia all Dietitians are also Nutritionists. However, Nutritionists without a Dietetics qualification cannot take on the specialized role of a Dietitian.
Whitney has a deeper understanding of the human body, health and a breath of expertise. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian, and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia, Whitney holds a Masters of Dietetics (Deakin University) and Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences (Anatomy, Neuroscience, Medical Microbiology) (Melbourne University). Whitney has undertaken further postgraduate training in her areas of special interest; Renal Nutrition (Royal Adelaide Hospital) and Sports Nutrition (Australian Institute of Sport) and is now an Associate Member of Sports Dietitians Australia. Whitney has worked as a Clinical Dietitian in metropolitan Melbourne with Monash Health and in Regional Western Australia as sole Clinical Dietitian at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, also as a Clinical and Community Dietitian for Hepburn Health Service.
Whitney works with clients to develop a strong nutrition foundation, to reduce the development or progression of disease, and/or optimise exercise and sporting outcomes. With extensive experience that is based on scientific evidence, Whitney promotes a realistic and achievable approach to fuelling our bodies, tailored to individual personal preferences, conditions and lifestyle habits.
